As a committee of Kenmure Property Owner's Association (KPOA), the Kenmure Architecture Review Committee’s (KARC) primary objective is to keep Kenmure aesthetically pleasing, thus enhancing homeowner property values.
KARC serves as the appointed representative of KPOA to oversee compliance with the Guidelines for Construction of Single Family Dwellings as they relate to siting, living area, exterior appearance, and landscaping.

- Manage interfacing with the Security and Garbage (S&G) committee and Kenmure Road Maintenance Committee (KRMC)
- Ensure all KARC members are trained and meeting the intent of KARC
- Manage special issues

- Assemble package for KARC review (layouts, colors, materials, etc.)
- Inspect building sites for footprints and photograph original condition
- Issue Building Permits (BP)
- Handle all requests to change BPs
- Issue 12/16 month letters; communicate with owners/contractors concerning delays
- Make final inspections and issue Occupancy Permits (OP)
- Backup New House Inspection position

- Physically check all questionable landscaping plans, including fencing-new and existing
- Make decisions for approval or define changes required for approval
- Make final inspections and authorize landscaping deposit refunds
- Manage all existing house landscaping alterations and complaints

- Visit houses under construction to ensure guidelines are met and construction is proceeding on schedule
- Update Houses Under Construction report with construction start and progress percentages
- Manage all new construction complaints
- On a quarterly basis, determine village/county date of approval for new construction and provide input to update Houses Under Construction information on Kenmure.org website
